🌿 Tuesday 24 October 2023

🌿 1030h - 1630h

🌿 12 Cours Sully, Chalabre, 11230

Join us for the first event in the new Move for Good initiative. This is a series of events where we come together and use our physical strength to support local community projects that are for social or environmental good, putting our physical capabilities to meaningful use. This is a way of giving back to the community through the power of movement.

The partner initiative: ECKCO

This first event is an opportunity to support the great work of ECKCO. ECKCO is a community project in Chalabre which aims to develop the community socially and economically. ECKCO will provide digital upskilling opportunities for children and young people, as well as co-working spaces for businesses.

What to expect at the Move for Good event for ECKCO

This first Move for Good project involves preparing ECKCO's first co-working space. Once ready this will generate the income needed to fund the next phase of the initiative. ECKCO need helping hands to strip, prepare, and redecorate the room and make it ready for use.

Your contribution

Whether you can give an hour or a day, your help is warmly welcomed. Come along and help us at the co-working space. You don’t need to bring anything, just come in suitable work clothes. ECKCO will provide any necessary equipment, including if needed goggles, hats, gloves and so on.

The benefits

  • The chance to move and get strong while contributing to the community.

  • A sense of fulfilment from volunteering for the community, volunteering is well known to boost happiness.

  • The opportunity to be a part of an interesting project longer term.

  • Community integration and language learning benefits.

And if that’s not enough to persuade you, ECKCO will also be provide lunch for anyone who volunteers for the full day!
